In order to provide support to the Country Coordinator in ensuring the good project implementation and monitoring process as well as the quality of the reports, Handicap International is currently looking for the following position for its office in Yogyakarta:
Position Title : Operational Manager

TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the line-management of the Country Coordinator, Operational Manager, through a constructive coordination and synergy with the project team and Support Services Department team, will support the Country Coordinator in new project designs, mentoring the project team and in coordination with the staff in charge of communication ensuring the good communication both internally and externally. The tasks in particular are:
1. Follow-up of recurrent deadlines (monthly reports, budget follow-up, ToR, cash-flow forecasts)
2. Review monthly reports, activity ToR and partnership agreement
3. Develop and review of donors reports
4. Participate in the recruitment of project team
5. Build up some specific training session for the team if required (in link with specific knowledge needed)
6. In coordination with the Country Coordinator, develop participatory approaches with Project Managers and potential stakeholders to design logical frameworks
7. Participate to the writing of Project Proposals to donors, including Logical framework, work-plans, budget and financial narrative
8. Ensure with the Project Manager the budget follow up of their project (in link with the Support Services team)
9. Validate the adjusted budgets and all re allocation budget required, jointly with the Country Coordinator and Support Services Coordinator
10. Ensure that all the documentation produced by the projects is properly disseminated, to the extent of publication
DUTY STATION: The Operational Manager will be based in Yogyakarta with frequent travels to the field (mainly Timor-Leste and NTT) .
PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Essential:
*Master Degree in social science or equivalent of professional experience
*Minimum of 10 years in project management, implementation and M & E
*Excellent written and spoken English
* Proved project management and project development skills

* Knowledge in Disaster Risk Reduction
* Previous experience in partnership with CSOs
* Experience in internal reporting and reporting to donors
* Experience in programming, monitoring and project design, with particular preference to promoting rights, governance, education, livelihood
* Experience in disability field will be appreciated
Initial contract will be for a period of 12 months with a renewal possibility
